Brought To Life By You animations

For Chichester College Group’s Brought To Life By You campaign, I was commissioned by Fiona Lomas to animate the vibrant “Yoodles” – the colourful, energetic illustrations that reveal the life, personality and momentum within each scene.

Working across both the quiet prelude moments and the fast-paced portrait sequences, I brought the illustrated elements into motion, giving them a sense of spontaneity and presence. This included subtle white glimmers within the architectural opening shots, expressive bursts of colour around students and staff, and unique ‘energy fields’ tailored to each of the hero portraits.

The brief called for animation that felt playful but not overwhelming – momentary flashes of movement that complemented the filmed content rather than sitting on top of it. My role covered the full animation process, crafting transitions, tempo and timing so the Yoodles felt woven into the sound design and edit.

The final film uses these animated elements to underline the campaign’s message: the buildings, campuses and opportunities of CCG are only truly brought to life by the people who learn, work and create there.
